The Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) held a literary and educational gathering in the Greshag area of Naal in memory of Shoaib Baloch and Master Wahab Baloch.
The event featured speeches, panel discussions, theatrical performances, a documentary screening, the presentation of research papers, a poetry recital, and a book fair under the banner of Balochistan Kitab Karwan.
BSAC central leaders Muhammad Baloch, Fahad Baloch, and Javeria Baloch participated in the event as special guests. In their addresses, the leaders said that the Baloch people have long been deliberately deprived of access to educational and literary development through what they described as “systematic conspiracies.”
They argued that, instead of promoting intellectual engagement, society had been steered toward social decay, hindering the academic growth of the younger generation. As a result, they said, youth are facing increasing psychological challenges and are often caught up in minor, divisive issues.
However, the speakers noted a growing shift. They said the youth are now emerging at the forefront of efforts to build a more conscious and educated society — a development they described as a “hopeful sign” for the future.
The BSAC leaders stressed the importance of continuing to organize such events to cultivate academic and intellectual growth. They advocated for initiatives including Gaam classes for children, career counseling in schools, and regular literary gatherings to foster a culture of education.
The event was well-attended by students, teachers, elders, children, and members of the local community. Attendees welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the efforts to promote literature and education in the region.
