The Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) has claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on a police post in Jamshoro, Sindh, carried out late Tuesday night.

In a statement released to the media, SRA spokesperson Sudho Sindhi said the attack was a response to what the group described as the “repressive” role of the Sindh police.

The spokesperson accused Sindh police of acting as agents of the “Punjabi military and intelligence agencies” and alleged that they have been involved in cracking down on political protests, storming educational institutions, and disrupting public gatherings held to mark the birth and death anniversaries of Sindhi nationalist leader Sain G.M. Syed.

He also accused police of forcibly entering homes, harassing nationalists, humiliating families, and arresting innocent individuals.

“At a time when the people of Sindh are protesting the extraction of water from the Indus River and the sale of millions of acres of land under so-called development projects, the Sindh police continue to serve as collaborators under the protection of the Pakistan People’s Party,” the statement said.

The SRA warned that if the police do not abandon what it described as a “treacherous and unethical” role, the group would intensify its attacks.

The statement concluded with a reaffirmation that the group would continue its armed resistance until the “complete national independence” of Sindh is achieved.
