Unidentified attackers targeted mineral transport vehicles in Balochistan’s Nushki district on Tuesday evening, setting some ablaze and disabling others with gunfire.

Local sources said the incident took place near a station on the RCD Highway, where three trucks carrying valuable minerals to other Pakistani cities were torched, and two more were damaged before the attackers fled. Police have begun a search for those responsible.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, similar attacks in the past have often been carried out by Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch claimed responsibility for two separate attacks against Pakistani forces in Dasht and Tump.

According to the statement, BLF fighters used heavy automatic weapons to attack a Pakistani military camp in Dasht Balnigor on January 20 at 7:20 PM, killing one soldier and injuring two others. He also claimed that forces subsequently fired indiscriminately into surrounding civilian areas.

Later that night, at 8:00 PM, BLF fighters reportedly targeted a Pakistani checkpoint in Pullabad Tump, near an area called Kasano, causing what they described as additional “human and material losses.”

The BLF said these operations are part of their ongoing campaign against what they term “occupying forces,” and vowed to continue such attacks until Balochistan’s liberation is achieved.
