The Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) has accused the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) of corrupt practices and exam result manipulation, calling it a “grave injustice” to students and their futures.

In a statement on Thursday, the BSAC spokesperson said the BBISE—Balochistan’s sole intermediate board—stands “deeply involved” in alleged bribery and political favors, leading to unfair exam outcomes and even the issuance of forged certificates.

According to the group, many students have lodged complaints claiming that results were altered in favor of those who paid bribes, disadvantaging deserving candidates.

‘Corruption Has Crossed All Limits’

The spokesperson said that corruption within the board has “crossed all limits,” warning that Balochistan’s already fragile education system cannot sustain further irregularities. With numerous schools, colleges, and universities either closed or barely functioning because of inadequate staff and resources, the board’s alleged involvement in fraud adds to the crisis.

“These institutions exist on public salaries yet act against the interests of the very students they serve,” the BSAC said, pointing out that families in remote areas often make substantial financial sacrifices to send their children to larger cities for education—only to encounter systemic corruption.

BSAC warned that widespread corruption in educational institutions normalizes unscrupulous conduct and causes near-irreversible harm to the region’s academic standards. The BSAC labeled these practices a serious offense against students and the broader community.

Calls for Action

As a representative student organization, the BSAC has demanded an immediate inquiry into alleged malpractices and irregularities at the board. It urged educational authorities to undertake reforms and punish those responsible to restore confidence in the examination process.

“Should these injustices remain unaddressed,” the BSAC statement said, “we will continue to defend students’ rights and are prepared to protest if necessary.” The group insists that transparency in BBISE’s operations is critical for safeguarding Balochistan’s education system from long-term, institutional damage.
