The Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) has announced that the new year will begin with a series of book fairs under the banner “Balochistan Kitaab Karwaan.” These events aim to provide Baloch students with access to a wide selection of books that are otherwise difficult to find in local markets.

The book fairs, set to take place across various regions of Balochistan, will feature stalls offering literature on diverse subjects from multiple publishers. According to BSAC, the initiative seeks to promote a culture of reading among the youth and provide books that address contemporary issues faced by the Baloch nation.

“Balochistan Kitaab Karwaan is one of our key initiatives,” BSAC said in a statement. “In today’s fast-paced technological era, many young people are drifting away from books or consuming literature that fails to address current challenges. These fairs are an opportunity to reconnect with meaningful reading material.”

The organization highlighted the historical significance of books in the progress of nations, emphasizing the role of knowledge in fostering personal growth and societal development. “The purpose of these fairs is to raise awareness among Baloch youth about the importance of reading. Books can instill self-confidence, perseverance, and the ability to solve problems using scientific and theoretical approaches,” the statement added.

BSAC also encouraged young people to incorporate reading into their daily lives and focus on literature that offers solutions to the pressing issues faced by the Baloch people. “By engaging with the right kind of literature, our youth can find guidance for building a prosperous future,” the organization said.
