Two people, a man and a woman, were reportedly killed in the Kharan district of Balochistan on Friday.
According to reports, a man killed his daughter and another man in an area between the Killi Sopak and Tugaab area of the district. The deceased woman has been identified as Qulsoom Bibi, daughter of Naseem, a resident of Quetta, and the man has been identified as Khaleel, son of Ali Dost, a resident of the Mastung district of Balochistan.
Sources said that the woman’s family had come to Kharan for farming. After the incident, her father and other family members managed to escape. The dead body of the woman is still in the hospital, and the body of the man has been moved to his home town in the Mastung district.

It is pertinent to mention that honor killings are becoming an alarming issue in Balochistan. Fourteen cases of honor killings have been reported in the first five months of 2024, including six men and eight women.
