Two persons have gone missing after being detained allegedly by Pakistani forces in Awaran district of Balochistan.

According to reports, Pakistani law-enforcement officials have allegedly forcibly detained two people during a house search operation in Geshkour town of Awaran and shifted them to an undisclosed location.

The detainees have been identified as Shahnawaz son of Naguman and Sajid son of Zabad.

Enforced disappearances are one of the most serious issues in the Balochistan. The political parties and human rights activists maintain that Pakistani forces have “abducted” thousands of Baloch people. According to various human rights organisations the disappeared Baloch have no access to legal representatives neither are their families kept informed about their safety and wellbeing.
