At least two people were killed and one injured in an alleged police encounter in the Balochistan’s capital city of Quetta on Tuesday.
According to police, two people were killed and another seriously injured in a police encounter in the Eastern Bypass area of Quetta.
According to police, unidentified people opened fire on patrolling team of the Eagle Squad in Eastern Bypass, while the police personnel survived, but two alleged attackers were killed in retaliatory firing by the police, one was arrested in an injured condition.
It’s pertinent to mention that Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and police operations in Balochistan have been described as suspicious in the past, while many operations have been found to be fake through the media and the victims’ families. However, the government officials and parliamentarians have been continuously defending these operations.
