The Counter Terrorism Department of Balochistan claimed that two militants were killed in an alleged encounter in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan on Friday.

In a statement, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claims that two armed men were killed in an encounter over an intelligence tip-off near Sialkot police station in the Hazarganji town of Quetta. However, the CTD did not reveal the identity of the deceased.

The CTD claimed that those killed belonged to the Baloch Liberation Army while one pistol, one motorcycle and three hand grenades were recovered from their possession.

It is pertinent to mention that the CTD operations in Balochistan have been controversial in the past, where previously enforced disappeared persons were killed in “fake encounters.”
