The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Wednesday has claimed responsibility for the killing of three Pakistani military personnel in an attack that took place in the Isplinji area of Balochistan’s district Mastung.
According to BLA’s press release, on August 24, BLA fighters executed a strategic operation, targeting Pakistani military forces stationed in the area. The attack utilized a combination of grenade launchers and heavy weaponry, resulting in significant casualties among the Pakistani military officials. “Three enemy personnel were fatally wounded, while an additional three sustained injuries in the attack,” the statement reads.
Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for BLA, affirmed the organization’s commitment to continue its campaign against what it perceives as “Pakistani occupying forces until the Baloch motherland achieves liberation.” The attack in Mastung serves as a reminder of the persisting tensions and unrest in the region.
Balochistan has been marred by a prolonged conflict, with various factions pursuing their respective objectives through both peaceful means and armed resistance. The Baloch Liberation Army is among the prominent armed groups advocating for an independent Baloch state, driven by a desire to safeguard the interests and autonomy of the Baloch people.
