The Baloch Liberation Army carried out three separate attacks on the Pakistani security forces in Noshki and Panjgur — killing three soldiers. The group also destroyed a communication tower in the Mach area of Balochistan.

The group claimed responsibility for the attacks in a media statement on Monday, saying that its fighters targeted an outpost of Pakistani forces on the main highway in the Noshki district of Balochistan. BLA said its fighters hurled a hand grenade into the outpost, killing one soldier and wounding others. The Noshki police tried to intercept and capture the BLA fighters, but they managed to flee with proper planning and reached their destinations safely, the group said.

The group said it had warned the local police and levies forces to refrain from being a party to the Pakistani forces and creating hurdles in the way of the Baloch liberation movement. The group’s spokesperson Jeeyan Baloch said that if the forces do not pay heed to these warnings, they would have to bear “strong consequences.”

In the statement, BLA said that its fighters targeted a vehicle of Pakistani forces with an IED in the customs area of Washbodh, Panjgur. Two Pakistani soldiers were killed and three others were injured in the attack. The vehicle was heavily damaged, the group claimed.

In another separate attack, the BLA said its fighters destroyed a communications tower in the Mach area of Bolan.

In a separate incident, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), another “pro-independence” group most active in the Makran region, targeted a police station in Quetta.

The group claimed responsibility for the attack in a media statement, saying that its fighters hurled a hand grenade inside the police station in Quetta’s Kechi Beg area. BLF said the force sustained casualties in the attack.
