A young boy was reportedly abducted and subsequently killed and his dead body was thrown in the mountains in the Basima area of Balochistan’s tehsil Washuk, local sources have said.

According to reports, the young boy was shepherding his herd in the mountains when he went missing. His family started looking for him when he did not return home in the evening. They found his mutilated dead body in the mountainous area of Zayak in Basima.

The boy’s head was smashed with a heavy boulder and his facial features were distorted beyond recognition, local sources said. The motive behind the murder is still not clear.

The local administration moved the dead body to the Basima Civil Hospital, but his family decided to take the dead body to Quetta for an autopsy.
