The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claims to have killed six suspected terrorists including an Islamic State (IS) commander in Quetta’s Eastern Bypass area on Saturday evening.
CTD spokesperson said the forces conducted an intelligence based operation and killed six terrorists. A commander of the banned Islamic State, Mohammed Asghar was also among the dead.
The forces recovered huge catche of arms and ammunition from the possession of terrorists. The dead terrorists were involved in a series of attacks in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan, CTD spokesperson said.
It is mention that in the past many CTD operations have been found to be fake encounters. Fake encounters have been confirmed by the media and other sources in which extrajudicially detained Baloch activists and persons belonging to religious organisations were killed.
