Law enforcement forces have detained the family of one of the Pakistan Stock Exchange attackers.
According to media reports, the authorities said that Salman Hamal’s family has been detained so that further progress can be made in the case and they can be investigated as to who Salman Hamal had connections with.
The family of the attacker Salman Hamal had come to Karachi from their hometown to collect his body.
It should be noted that on the morning of June 29, four armed men targeted the Pakistan’s Karachi Stock Exchange. A BAloch pro-independence armed group, Baloch Liberation Army claimed the responsibility for the attack.
BLA released an image of the attackers and identified them as Tasleem alias Muslim, Shehzad alia Cobra, Salman Hammal alias Nothak and Siraj Kungur alias Yaagi.
The Baloch Human Rights Commission also issued a statement condemning retaliation by Pakistani authorities against the innocent families of Baloch insurgents.
The BHRC statement said that the state establishment is looking for all possible justifications for the disappearance of people, although the United Nations has made it clear that in both the peace and war the enforced disappearance under any circumstances is not justified.
According to local sources, security forces raided the house of Taslim Baloch, another attacker of Karachi Stock Exchange, in Dasht area of district Kech and arrested his three brothers; Mehboob, Nadeem and Niaz. Similarly, Waheed and Abdul sons of Hamal, Salman Hamal’s brothers from Mand, were released after being taken into custody. While once again their family members are taken into custody in Karachi.
