Police officials claimed to prevent an attack on the train by Baloch militants in Rajanpur.

According to details received by The Balochistan post, Police has claimed that an attempt to blow up the Khushal Khan Khattak Express in Kot Mottan area of Rajanpur, while heading to Peshawar from Karachi, has been foiled, but the suspects managed to escape from the spot.

Police sources have said that unidentified motorcycle riders had dug 3 feet pit to plant a bomb on the railway track passing through Kot Mottan. Their target was Khushhal Khan Khattak express which was traveling from Karachi to Peshawar.

‘Patrolling Police reached the scene on time and failed the mission but the suspects managed to flee’.

Police officials link the attempt to Baloch militants, as in the past, trains traveling from Punjab and other cities of Pakistan to Balochistan, had been targeted and the responsibility of such attacks were claimed by Baloch militant groups.
