Two persons have been forcibly disappeared after Pakistani forces raided a house in Mand.

According to details received by TBP, Pakistani security forces raided a house in Khank locality of Mand last night. Two persons were arrested during the raid.

The arrested were then taken to undisclosed location raising grave concerns about their safety.

The arrested have been identified as Sameer s/o Khuda Baksh and Fahd s/o Murad Baksh.

It was not clear why the duo has been arrested.

However, such incidents are common in Balochitan as security forces continue to ‘abduct’ suspects. No court proceedings are followed after the arrests and the detainees are kept under incommunicado detention. Security forces later deny the arrests, therefore, campaign groups term the arrests as abductions.

Many of such persons have been killed and their dead bodies have been found dumped on roadsides.
