According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 4 armed persons have been killed and 3 others arrested in two different Intelligence-based operations (IBOs).

‘Security Forces conducted an IBO in Ghazi mountains astride Sibi – Kohlu road. 3 terrorist suspect were apprehended,’ claimed Pakistani Military’s spokesperson in the press release.

It also claimed that explosives, weapons and ammunition including detonating cord and communication equipment were recovered in another operation.

The ISPR press release maintained that security forces conducted another IBO on a hideout in Awaran, Balochistan.

“During the operation in Awaran, 4 terrorists were killed. Weapons and ammunition was also recovered in the operation,” ISPR claimed

However, ISPR failed to produce any details of the people arrested or killed during the operations.

Awaran is Balochistan Liberation Front’s stronghold. Earlier the organisation had said in a media statement that one of their camps in Kullan, Mashkay was attacked on 15th July by Pakistani forces aided with two gunship helicopters.

‘However, BLF foiled the attack after two hours of continuous battle with Pakistani forces and gunship helicopters,’ BLF’s spokesperson Goharam Baloch had claimed.
