Two Baloch armed groups have separately claimed responsibility for attacks targeting a Pakistan military cantonment in the Sanni area of Kachhi district on Tuesday, alleging casualties and damage to military installations.

In a statement issued to the media, United Baloch Army (UBA) spokesperson Mazar Baloch said the group’s sniper unit targeted personnel stationed at the military cantonment at around 9:00 am. He claimed that one military personnel was killed and two surveillance cameras were destroyed during the attack.

According to the statement, another UBA unit subsequently launched an attack on the cantonment using automatic weapons, which the group claimed caused further casualties and material losses. The spokesperson also alleged that Pakistan military forces responded with artillery fire and quadcopter drone strikes on the attackers’ positions, but claimed the fighters withdrew safely after completing the operation.

Meanwhile, Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) also claimed responsibility for an attack on what it described as the main cantonment of Pakistani forces in Sanni. In a separate statement, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said the group’s fighters targeted the installation with both light and heavy weapons, claiming that the attack resulted in casualties and material losses.

The statements did not clarify whether the groups were referring to the same incident or separate attacks carried out at different times.

There has been no official confirmation from Pakistani authorities regarding the claims.
