The Baloch National Movement (BNM) staged a protest outside the Dutch parliament in The Hague against the planned deportation of Rashid Ahmed, also known as Fida Baloch, and urged authorities to review his case.
According to BNM, the demonstration aimed to draw the attention of Dutch authorities, human rights organisations and the international community to Ahmed’s case.
Jamal Baloch, Mohammad Muheem, Sunny Baloch and Saif Obaid addressed the rally. They said the case “must not be overlooked” and urged the Netherlands to uphold its human rights obligations and consider the safety of individuals facing deportation.
BNM said it had also submitted a formal petition to Dutch Minister for Asylum and Migration Bart van den Brink. The petition sought an immediate review of Ahmed’s case and urged the government to ensure that his safety and fundamental rights were given due consideration.
