The National Democratic Party (NDP) says one of its senior members, Sana Baloch, has been forcibly disappeared from Multan Airport after being questioned by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
According to the party, Sana Baloch, a member of the NDP’s Central Organizing Committee, was preparing to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah when he was detained by FIA officials.
A party spokesperson said Baloch was held at the airport for several hours “without being given any reason” for his detention, despite repeated inquiries. In his last message to colleagues, he said he was “being stopped but had not been told why”.
The NDP said that after the questioning, all contact with Baloch was lost and “unknown individuals” took him away from the airport to an undisclosed location. The party says his relatives have also been unable to reach him.
The NDP demanded Baloch’s immediate release, calling his disappearance “a violation of constitutional protections and human rights”. It urged the government to ensure his safe recovery without delay.
