The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for four separate attacks in Balochistan’s Kalat and Turbat regions, which it says killed six Pakistani military personnel and injured several others.

In a statement released to the media on Monday, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said that the group’s fighters targeted the “occupying Pakistani forces” in a coordinated series of attacks in Kalat’s Makki and Morgand areas, as well as the Ginah region of Turbat.

According to the statement, BLA fighters carried out two remote-controlled IED attacks on Monday near Johan Cross in the Makki area of Kalat. The first device reportedly struck dismounted members of a bomb disposal team conducting a clearance operation, killing one soldier and critically injuring another.

A second IED explosion at the same location targeted additional military personnel, resulting in the deaths of two more soldiers and injuries to at least one other, the spokesperson said.

Later the same evening, BLA fighters launched a sniper and grenade attack in the Morgand area of Kalat. The group claimed that one Pakistani soldier was killed by sniper fire as he approached a military post with supplies. BLA fighters then used heavy weapons and grenade launchers to target the post, allegedly causing further casualties and material damage.

Separately, on Sunday night, BLA fighters ambushed a convoy of Pakistani military vehicles in the Ginah area of Turbat. Two vehicles were hit in the assault, the group said, while the rest of the convoy fled. According to the BLA, two soldiers were killed and several others wounded in the attack.

Meanwhile, another “pro-independence” armed group, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), claimed responsibility for a bomb attack targeting police forces in Dera Murad Jamali.

According to BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch, the group’s fighters used a remote-controlled explosive device to strike a police vehicle near Qadeer Kot, along the highway under the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station. The blast reportedly left three officers seriously injured.

“We once again warn the police to stop harassing people and cease extortion and bribery, or they will continue to face our attacks with greater intensity,” the spokesperson said.

He added that the BRG takes full responsibility for the attack and vowed that operations of this kind would continue until the “liberation of Balochistan.”
