The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani military forces and alleged intelligence agents in several areas of Balochistan, including Kharan, Buleda, Zamuran, and Kalat.

In a statement released to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters killed six Pakistani personnel and injured several others in improvised explosive device (IED) attacks and armed assaults on military posts.

According to the statement, BLA fighters carried out two simultaneous IED attacks on the Pakistani army’s Bomb Disposal Squad in Zerdan, Buleda, while they were engaged in clearance operations. “Two enemy personnel were eliminated on the spot while one was seriously wounded,” the group claimed.

In a separate attack, BLA fighters targeted a military convoy in Geshardan, Zamuran, using an IED, resulting in casualties and damage to vehicles.

The group also claimed responsibility for attacking a Pakistani army post on Guzzi Road in Kharan on March 11. BLA fighters reportedly fired several rounds, including grenades, at military positions, causing casualties and material losses.

In another operation on March 12, BLA fighters attacked an army post between the Garuk and Daali areas of Kharan with automatic weapons and rocket launchers. “Three enemy personnel were eliminated on the spot while at least four others were wounded,” the statement read. The attack reportedly lasted 20 minutes and caused further property losses.

Additionally, the BLA said its fighters “neutralized” an alleged army informant in Manguchar Bazaar, Kalat. The individual was described as an intelligence agent “working under the guise of a madman.”

BLF Seizes Weapons and Vehicles from Motorway Police in Kalat

Meanwhile, another “pro-independence” armed group, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), claimed responsibility for confiscating weapons and vehicles from the Motorway Police in the Manguchar area of Kalat on 19 March.

Major Gwahram Baloch, the group’s spokesperson, said BLF fighters intercepted the Motorway Police on the Karachi-Quetta Highway, seizing their government-issued weapons and vehicles. However, the personnel were released unharmed, the group added.

BLF media channel ‘Aashob’ released photos showing seized weapons and vehicles of the Motorway Police in Kalat’s Manguchar area.

“Out of humanity and a sense of Baloch identity, the officers were released,” the BLF statement read.

The BLF reaffirmed its commitment to continuing operations against the Pakistani military and paramilitary forces, vowing to intensify its struggle for the restoration of Balochistan’s independent status.
