In anticipation of the Baloch Raji Muchi (Baloch National Gathering) scheduled for July 28, 2024, in the coastal city of Gwadar by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), awareness campaigns and voluntary fundraising efforts are actively ongoing.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) announced that they have not publicly shared bank account details for financial contributions. Instead, official contact numbers have been provided for those willing to offer voluntary support for Baloch Raji Muchi. The committee urged the public to ensure they receive an official receipt from BYC before making any donations and to verify the official contact numbers.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Hamood Rehman issued a notice warning citizens that, under Section 18 and Section 20 of the Balochistan Charities Act 2019 and the Pakistan Penal Code, no unregistered or illegal organization or entity will be allowed to collect donations ‘unlawfully.’
Similarly, Assistant Commissioner Tump, following orders from Deputy Commissioner Kech, issued a notification banning the collection of donations under Section 18 of the Balochistan Charities Act 2019. The notification also announced actions against unregistered organizations and their facilitators involved in fundraising activities.
These notices come amidst a wave of public participation in the fundraising campaign for the Baloch Raji Muchi.
