In the wake of a series of high-profile attacks targeting military and intelligence facilities in Balochistan, the Pakistani Army has formally requested assistance from the district administration to enhance security around its main camps. The request includes increasing patrols by Levies and police force, as well as establishing checkpoints outside the camps.

Sources informed The Balochistan Post that these measures are a direct reaction to the assaults on the headquarters of the Pakistani Army, naval bases, and intelligence agency facilities in Gwadar, Turbat, and Mach. The paramilitary force FC, among others, has reportedly asked district officials for additional protections for these critical facilities.

Additionally, in the aftermath of the Turbat Naval Air Base attack, authorities have implemented internet service restrictions from 10 PM to 6 AM within a 10-kilometer radius of Pakistan Airforce bases in Turbat, Peshawar, and other regions.

The attack on Pakistan’s second-largest naval airbase in Turbat was carried out on the night of March 25th by four ‘fidayeen’ from the Baloch Liberation Army’s Majeed Brigade. The attack, which began around 10 PM, was marked by extensive gunfire and explosions lasting until the following morning.

Just five days prior to the Turbat attack, eight ‘fidayeen’ from the Majeed Brigade had targeted the offices of the Pakistani intelligence agencies, ISI and MI, situated within the highly sensitive confines of the Gwadar Port Authority Complex in Gwadar.
