Three people including two women committed suicide in the Hub Chowki, Dukki, and Khuzdar areas of Balochistan.

According to reports, a man named Ahmed Khan Magsi s/o Bahadur Khan, who was a security guard at the Bisconni factory shot himself with his gun in the Hub Chowki city of Balochistan.

Moreover, a young woman named Bibi Sadeeqa d/o Wazeer Khan ended her life in Yaroo city of Dukki district.

Earlier these incidents, reports were also received from the Zehri area of Khuzdar district that a woman ended her life by committing suicide.

It is to be noted, that suicide incidents are rampantly being reported from all over Balochistan. Experts believe that the main reasons behind these suicide incidents are unemployment, inflation, family pressure, insurgency in Balochistan, and the counter-insurgency policies of the state — which include enforced disappearances and kill and dumps.

While young Baloch women usually commit suicide either due to family pressures, domestic violence, or because of the grief and depression resulting from the separation of a loved one due to “enforced disappearances.” In some cases, women have ended their lives when they could no longer tolerate the “disappearance” of their brothers, fathers, husbands, or sons.

However, the motives behind the three aforementioned incidents are unknown yet.
