Medicines for several diseases have been reportedly unavailable in different parts of Balochistan, including the capital city of Quetta.

According to reports, essential medicines for many life-threatening diseases are disappeared from most areas of Balochistan. In Quetta and other cities, essential medicines for many diseases, including cancer, epilepsy, kidney, dialysis, thalassemia, and common fever are unavailable in hospitals and medical stores.

The injection used in the CT scan, which was sold for Rs 3,000 in normal medical stores, is now being sold in black for Rs 7,000.

Panadol, which is used as a pain killer and for common fever, is only available in very small quantities in Quetta medical stores. These medicines are not only unavailable in medical stores but also in government hospitals.
