Two persons, including a woman, were killed and another injured in two separate incidents of firing in Kharan and Kalat districts of Balochistan
According to reports, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a vehicle of a man named Samiullah Langove at Khaliqabad in the Mangochar area of Kalat district on Thursday.
Samiullah Langove was injured in the firing while his wife died on the spot. However, the motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, Mir Samiullah Langove along with his wife were on their way to Quetta from Mangochar they were attacked by armed men in Khaliqabad area.
Meanwhile, a man identified as Mehrullah Yalanzai, a resident of Eri Kallag, was killed when unidentified persons opened fire at him near the Sabzi market in the Old Bus station area of Kharan.
According to sources, the man received critical injuries after being shot three to four times. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to the Civil Hospital Kharan.
This attack was claimed by a Baloch armed group known as the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF). The spokesperson for the group, Mjr Gohram Baloch said in a press release that their fighters target-killed Yalanzai, who was a “state agent.”
He said “the aforementioned state agent had been working as an informer for Pakistani forces for a long time.”
Mehrullah Yelanzai son of Sohrab along with his colleagues has been involved in the abduction of Baloch people and many military operations in the area. He was also involved in theft and dacoity in Thank, Kallag, and Gwash areas of Kharan.
