Security forces on Monday morning raided a house in Hoshap Tehsil of Kech district and forcibly detained a woman.

According to reports, The Counter Terrorism Department personnel arrested a woman named Noor Jan and shifted her to an unknown location, whose whereabouts are unknown since. After her disappearance, the residents of the area blocked the CPEC route in protest.

As per the sources, 40-years-old Noor Jan is a resident of Kolwah Miristan area of Kech, who was married with a resident of Hoshap, named Fazal.

A social worker from Turbat told The Balochistan Post that the woman is still under the custody of CTD while their demand is that she should be released as soon as possible.

After the protest, the CTD claimed that it has arrested a female suicide bomber. The CTD claimed that the woman wanted to target the Chinese convoy on the CPEC route. The CTD said that during the raid, a female suicide bomber was arrested and an explosive device with a detonator was also recovered from her possession. “The woman belonged to a banned organization”, CTD claimed.

The spokesperson for the Balochistan National Party (BNP) Kech while issuing a statement said that the CTD’s raid on the house of a Baloch woman Noor Jan from Hoshap and her subsequent disappearance was a blatant violation of human rights which would have serious consequences for the state.

He said that the attitude of state institutions was inappropriate in Balochistan. Which has always been questioned but instead of changing this pattern, it is creating more and worse conditions. Women, youth, children and elderly, no one is safe from the hands of law enforcement forces in Balochistan, BNP spokesperson said.
