All Parties Kech condemned the “extrajudicial” killing of the young Baloch detainee Gohram Nadil, who was killed in the custody of the Pakistani security forces. The political alliance also announced that it will organize protest rallies and demonstrations against the “brutalities” of the Pakistani forces and also write open letters to provincial party leaders and media houses of Balochistan to draw attention to the incident.

According to the details, All Party Kech called a press conference in Dashti House in Turbat which was presided by convener Naseer Gichki. Members of the alliance and other political and social leaders attended the press conference. The alliance unanimously condemned the “enforced disappearance” of Gohram Nadil and his subsequent death in custody at the hands of the Pakistani forces.

Addressing the gathering, Naseer Gichki said that the Gohram Nadil had been “abducted” along with three other friends at 4 a.m. on June 12. He said that before Gohram’s death, the forces called and assured me on June 15 that the four detainees will be released that evening. But at 10 p.m. that night, the forces called me again and summoned me to their camp. There, they told me that Gohram had suffered a heart attack and died in custody. Gichki further said that the forces told me to take the dead body, but I refused. But the FC then forcibly handed over the dead body to the family members through the police. He said that the FC once again assured them that the three other detainees will be released, but the promise has not been fulfilled yet.

Gichki said that the brother of the deceased has revealed that Gohram had recently gotten into a fight with an influential local man, and there are suspicions that this man might have done away with his adversary with a little help from the Pakistani forces. Gichki told the gathering that some people had attempted to bribe Gohram’s family into silence but to no avail.

The alliance unanimously agreed in the press conference that Gohram’s killing is legally a criminal act. The alliance announced that it will not subside into silence, but instead organize protest rallies and demonstrations to draw attention to the incident. The participants announced in the press conference that they will carry out a demonstration in front of the Turbat Press Club on Sunday to forcefully condemn the incident and inform the public about the proceedings of the case. Furthermore, the alliance will also send a delegation to Tump – Gohram’s hometown – on June 21 to condole with his family.

The alliance said that it will also send open letters to the heads of prominent political parties and media houses of Balochistan to further highlight the issue. A social media campaign will also be organized to that end.
