Pakistani forces have claimed that a key member of a banned outfit was arrested during an operation on Sariab Road in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.

According to military sources, a member of the banned Sunni organisation named Zaman has been arrested who was involved in several incidents of blasts and targeted killings.

Authorities allege that the suspect has returned from Afghanistan a few days earlier. During the operation, forces also recovered weapons and explosives from the possession of the accused, officials said.

It is to mention that the security forces had claimed to have arrested five persons during an operation and exchange of fire in Lateef Bhittai Colony of Karachi, yesterday.

Authorities claim the detainees from Karachi, belong to Afghanistan and are Indian spies.

Pakistani law enforcement agencies and state authorities have blamed India on multiple occasions for terrorism in their country. India has denied the accusations and blamed Pakistan for terrorism on Indian soil.

India has also provided the proof of Mumbai attacks, as well as the Pakistani involvement in few other terror attacks in India.

According to sources, the people get arrested or killed in Pakistani forces’ “operations,” mostly belong to the Baloch, Sindhi or Pashtun ethnic groups, struggling for their basic rights or independence.

Nationalist groups of aforementioned ethnicities claim that Pakistani forces arrest or kill their political and rights activists in bogus cases and fake encounters respectively.

According to VBMP, a Balochistan-based rights group: more than 45 thousand people are missing on from Balochistan.
