The Hub Literary Forum has issued a statement saying that the Forum has been working for educational activities in Hub for the past several years which includes activating the Hub Public Library, conducting book review sessions for the promotion of reading books in academic and literary circles and private educational institutions.

Taking this step further, the organisation will organise a one-day event on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Government Boys High School Hub, the statement said.

The event is titled as “Literary gathering and Book Festival” aimed at promoting educational and literary activities in Hub city of Balochistan.

The statement further said that this will be the first event of its kind in Hub city, in which various topics will be discussed and professors, intellectuals and experts from different fields from all over Balochistan will participate.

Apart from this, a book fair will also be organised to promote book reading among the students in which books on various topics will be available at discounted prices, the forum announced.

A “Book launches” program will also be organised to encourage young and local writers, including panel discussions and debates on arts, society, politics, literature and history, statement read.

In the statement ,the Hub Literary Forum has appealed to the students, scholars, literary figures, broadcasters and media persons to participate in this program and contribute to the achievement of this goal.
