Baloch leaders have raised the issue of human rights violations and other plights of Balochistan during different events convened on the occasion of 39th Council session of UNHRC in Geneva.

Dr Naseem Baloch of BNM and former chairperson of BSO-A have spoken during side events and taken part in protests in the Swiss city.

According to details received by TBP, leader of Baloch National Movement (BNM), Dr Naseem Baloch and former Chairperson of Baloch Students Organisation – Azad (BSO-), Karima Baloch, are in Geneva to raise awareness about human rights violations committed in Balochistan.

The duo attended a side event held about the sufferings of oppressed nations yesterday. Both Baloch leaders spoke during the event and raised the issue of human rights violations committed in Balochistan by Pakistani state forces.

The event was also attended by other Baloch, Sindhi, Kashmiri and Pashtun representatives.

Speaking exclusively to TBP, Dr Naseem said that Pakistani state forces are committing brutalities in Balochistan on daily basis. ‘They do not even spare women and children now. We are striving to raise these issues at any international platform possible so that the brutal Pakistani Army is stopped from committing Baloch genocide,’ he told our correspondent.

Yesterday, Dr Naseem and Karima Baloch joined Mama Qadeer to attend a protest organised by Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) at Broken Chair in Geneva.

Baloch leaders also attended a protest held today by World Sindhi Congress in the city.
