Multiple incidents involving alleged enforced disappearances, recoveries and the discovery of bodies have been reported from different parts of Balochistan over recent days, according to families and local sources.

Pasni Youth Allegedly Disappeared for Third Time

In the coastal town of Pasni, Sartaj son of Saleh Mohammad was reportedly taken into custody by Pakistani forces on the night of Eid, family members said.

According to relatives, unidentified individuals arrived in his native area in Pasni and took him away. Several days later, they say, no information regarding his whereabouts or condition has been made available.

Family members stated that Sartaj had previously gone missing in May 2025 and had returned home several days later.

Sartaj, son of Saleh Mohammad

According to family sources, Sartaj was first allegedly subjected to enforced disappearance on 28 July 2015 alongside his elder brother, Murad Bakhsh son of Saleh Mohammad. Both brothers were reportedly taken from Pasni and transferred to undisclosed locations.

Relatives say Sartaj returned home nearly a year later, while Murad Bakhsh remains missing more than a decade after his disappearance.

The family stated that following Murad Bakhsh’s disappearance, responsibility for supporting the household fell largely upon Sartaj. They say his latest disappearance has left the family facing severe financial hardship and psychological distress.

Relatives further said family members continue to live in an atmosphere of fear, anxiety and uncertainty. They appealed to human rights organisations and authorities to ensure the immediate recovery of both Sartaj and Murad Bakhsh.

NCA Lahore Student Reportedly Missing After Detention

Separately, reports emerged regarding the alleged enforced disappearance of Mehrab Khalid, a student of the Film Department at the National College of Arts.

According to reports, Mehrab Khalid was allegedly detained by unidentified individuals at approximately 12:30 a.m. on 29 May. No official information regarding his whereabouts or condition has since emerged.

Sources stated that eight of his classmates were also reportedly taken into custody alongside him. Those students were later released, while Mehrab Khalid was not returned.

Three Previously Missing Men Reportedly Recovered

Meanwhile, reports were received regarding the recovery of three individuals previously described as victims of enforced disappearance in different areas of Balochistan.

According to local sources, Noor Khan son of Nazar Mohammad, a resident of Sar Dasht Kulanch in Gwadar, who had reportedly been missing since 28 March 2026, returned home on 23 May.

Similarly, Shahab Baloch son of Haji Attaullah, a resident of Naag in Washuk District, who had allegedly been taken by Pakistani forces on 13 May 2026, was reportedly recovered in Basima on 25 May.

In a separate case, Naoman son of Haji Isa, a resident of Gokdan in Turbat, who had reportedly been missing since 18 April 2026, was said to have returned on 26 May near the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Turbat.

Three Men Return After Alleged Enforced Disappearance

No official statements regarding the circumstances of their disappearance or recovery were issued at the time of publication.

Two Bodies Found Along Makran Coastal Highway

In another incident, two bodies were recovered on Saturday morning near Charbandaan Cross along the Makran Coastal Highway, according to police sources.

The bodies were shifted to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) in Pasni, where they were identified as Ustad Mohammad Siraj Kalanchi son of Ustad Hasil Kalanchi, a resident of Bangla Bazaar Pasni, and Sardal Khan son of Sher Khan.

According to local sources, Sardal Khan had allegedly been detained by Pakistani military forces on 23 November 2025 along with another individual identified as Khatir son of Mirdost.

Family members stated that several armed men arrived outside their house in vehicles and motorcycles before entering the residence and forcibly taking Sardal Khan away.

Relatives further alleged that Khatir son of Mirdost, who had reportedly been working in agricultural fields at the time, was also taken into custody and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Pakistani authorities had not publicly commented on the allegations or incidents at the time of publication.
