A young man was shot dead in Balochistan’s Mastung district after Frontier Corps (FC) personnel raided his home and took him outside before opening fire, his family said.
The incident took place on the eve of Eid al-Fitr in the Killi Karez Sor area, the family said.
They said FC personnel entered the house and forcibly took Muhammad Aamir, son of Dil Murad, outside before shooting him.
They added that no arrest warrant was presented, no police report was registered and no evidence was shown during the operation, adding that the incident raised what they described as “serious legal and ethical questions”.
“Entering a home and killing a young man on an occasion of joy is not only tragic but raises serious questions about whether such actions fall within any legal framework,” the family said.
They said FC personnel took the body with them after the shooting and returned it around 12 hours later.
During that time, the family said they were forced to sign a non-judicial document without being allowed to read its contents, and that signatures were also taken from local elders who were not permitted to review it.
The family said they would reject any statement attributed to them in the document.
His mother said she had raised her children through hardship but lost her son within moments and now feared similar incidents could happen again.
There was no immediate response from the Frontier Corps.
