Four Pakistani personnel were killed in attacks in Gwadar and Jhao, while rockets were fired at a naval camp in Turbat, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) said on Friday.
In a media statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said fighters ambushed four army personnel travelling on two motorcycles between the Domb and Mirjat areas of Gwadar on March 12, killing three at the scene and seriously injuring a fourth.
He alleged the targeted personnel were involved in “extortion from oil traders”, accusing Pakistani forces of economically exploiting local transporters through collections from oil vehicles.
On the same day, two 107mm rockets were fired at the naval camp in Turbat city, with the group saying both projectiles struck inside the compound and caused what it described as “heavy casualties and material losses”, adding that “this strike inside the enemy’s fortified position is proof that the occupying forces are not safe anywhere from the reach of the Baloch sarmachars.”
In a separate attack on March 6, a soldier on duty at a military checkpoint in the Gazzi area of Jhao was shot dead in a sniper operation, according to the BLF.
The BLF reiterated that it would continue targeting Pakistani forces and what it termed “exploitative economic interests” until the “liberation of Balochistan”.
Pakistani authorities did not immediately comment on the claims.
