The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released the identities and details of seven of its members who it says were killed during events linked to its recently announced military campaign, “Operation Herof (Phase 2)”.
In separate statements issued by the group and its media wing, Hakkal, the BLA said the individuals included members of its Majeed Brigade and other operational units who were involved in activities in Turbat, Noshki and Gwadar.
According to the BLA, one of the individuals was Majid Baloch, also known as Commando Badal, son of Amjad Baloch and a resident of Sand Bazaar, Hoshap. The group said he joined the BLA in December 2023 and later became part of its Majeed Brigade in 2024. It said he was killed on 29 January 2026 in Turbat during a clash with Pakistani forces while travelling to participate in Operation Herof.
Another member identified by the group was Salim Baloch, also known as Molum, son of Abdul Sattar and a resident of Absar, Turbat. According to the BLA, he held a master’s degree in history from the University of the Punjab and joined the organisation’s “mountain front” in September 2023 after previously being subjected to detention. The group said he was killed in Turbat on 29 January during a clash with security forces while preparations for Operation Herof were underway.
The BLA also identified two brothers from Noshki, Allah Noor Jamaldini, also known as Rokin, and Asif Jamaldini, also known as Zubair, sons of Pir Bakhsh Jamaldini and residents of Qaziabad. According to the group, Allah Noor joined the Baloch nationalist movement in March 2023 and later joined the BLA in July 2024, becoming part of the Majeed Brigade in August 2024. Asif Jamaldini reportedly joined the movement in October 2024 and later joined the BLA in 2025, becoming part of its Fateh Squad.
The BLA said both brothers were killed during Operation Herof in Noshki. According to the group’s statement, Allah Noor Jamaldini was involved in an attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Noshki, while Asif Jamaldini was part of a unit tasked with breaching defensive positions.
In a separate release, the BLA’s media wing Hakkal published photographs and details of three additional members who it said were involved in “Operation Herof Phase II”.
Among them was Barat Baloch, also known as Aslam, son of Murad Bakhsh and a resident of Askani Bazaar, Absar, Turbat. The group said he joined the BLA on 28 January 2023 and became part of the Majeed Brigade in August 2023. According to the statement, he was involved in fighting on the Gwadar front during Operation Herof II.
Another individual was identified as Yousaf Baloch, also known as Yagi, son of Ishaq and a resident of Parom in Panjgur district. The BLA said he joined the organisation in 2024 and also became part of the Majeed Brigade the same year. It stated that the 21-year-old had been active on operational fronts in Parom and Panjgur before taking part in Operation Herof II in Gwadar.
The group also named Shoaib, also known as Shahzad, son of Malik Naz and a resident of New Town, Gwadar. According to the BLA, he joined the organisation in 2024 and initially worked as part of its urban guerrilla network before joining the Majeed Brigade in 2025. The group said he had previously been active in areas including Sahiji, Mazanband and Kalbar before participating in a suicide attack during Operation Herof II in Gwadar.
The BLA described the individuals as members of its armed organisation who were killed during the course of the operation and subsequent clashes.
Operation Herof was announced by the BLA earlier this year as a coordinated campaign targeting Pakistani security installations in several parts of Balochistan, including Noshki, Turbat and Gwadar. Pakistani authorities have not released detailed official figures regarding the incidents.
