The body of a man, reportedly bearing multiple gunshot wounds, was recovered from the Purana Parom Cross area of Panjgur district in Balochistan. Authorities have identified the deceased as Umar, son of Badal, a resident of Gwargo.

According to officials, the presence of multiple bullet injuries on the body suggests that the individual was shot and killed. The body has been transferred to a local hospital for necessary formalities.

Levies officials stated that the victim’s family had reported him missing on 31 July 2025, alleging that he had been abducted by unidentified armed individuals from Gwargo. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

The region has witnessed a noticeable increase in cases of alleged enforced disappearances and targeted killings in recent months. Over the past three days alone, the bodies of three missing persons have been recovered in the Panjgur area.

On 4 August, the mutilated body of a young man, Shah Jan, son of Murad, was recovered in Panjgur. According to his family, Shah Jan was forcibly disappeared on 29 July—ten days after his wedding—allegedly by personnel linked to a state-backed “death squad.” He was reportedly taken to the Frontier Corps (FC) camp in Panjgur, but no further information had been provided to the family prior to the discovery of his body.

Additionally, on 3 August, another decomposed body was recovered from the Parom area. The deceased was identified as Inayatullah, son of Khair Mohammad, who had reportedly been abducted in early December last year. According to his family, he was taken from their home by individuals believed to be part of a state-backed “death squad.”

Local authorities have yet to issue a conclusive statement regarding the recent surge in violence.
