Two young men have reportedly been subjected to enforced disappearance after being detained by Pakistani security forces in the Lasbela district of Balochistan.
According to sources, the individuals have been identified as Abdul Wahid, son of Sher Mohammad, and Pullain, son of Hassan, both residents of Jhao Noondra, Jalanti. They were allegedly taken into custody by security forces on 28 May, and their whereabouts have remained unknown since.
This incident is part of a broader and reported ongoing pattern of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial actions across Balochistan. Human rights organisations and local advocacy groups have noted a surge in such cases this year, raising concerns about due process and the safety of detainees.
The families of the missing have repeatedly appealed to authorities for information regarding their loved ones, demanding transparency and justice. The lack of accountability and legal recourse continues to fuel public frustration and fear in the region.
