In a continuation of reported enforced disappearances across Balochistan, at least four individuals have been forcibly disappeared, allegedly by Pakistani security forces, while one previously missing student has been released in a critical condition.

In Kech district’s city of Turbat, two men were reportedly detained and subsequently disappeared by Pakistani forces near Baloch Hospital. According to local sources, on 29 April, Khuda Bakhsh s/o Mandi Baloch, a resident of Hoshap, was taken into custody near the hospital and moved to an undisclosed location. On the same day, another resident, Hakeem Baloch s/o Jumma from Askani, Turbat, was also detained and disappeared.

Families of the victims state that both men had no links to any unlawful activity and were engaged in their routine work when they were taken. The human rights organisation PAANK, which documents such cases, strongly condemned the incidents, terming them unacceptable human rights violations. The group has demanded the immediate and safe recovery of Khuda Bakhsh, Hakeem Baloch, and all other disappeared persons.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, Shah Nawaz s/o late Haji Allah Bakhsh from Sallo, Buleda, was abducted in the early hours of 30 April from Naval Colony, Karachi, while visiting the city for medical treatment. Witnesses report that uniformed personnel forcibly took Shah Nawaz in front of his family, and his whereabouts remain unknown. The family has appealed to authorities and human rights organisations to intervene and ensure his recovery. They stressed that if there are any charges against him, he should be produced in a court of law rather than being held incommunicado.

Further reports from the coastal town of Pasni indicate another abduction. Sheh Mureed Hussain, a young man from Ward 3, Bagh Bazaar, was taken by unidentified armed men from a barber shop in the main bazaar. He, too, remains missing. According to local sources, this is the fourth such incident reported from Pasni within the last 24 hours, contributing to a total of 19 documented cases of enforced disappearances across Balochistan in recent days.

In a rare instance of release, student Amir Dad Bakhsh, who was reportedly forcibly disappeared from Pasni two days ago, has been recovered. He was found in a severely deteriorated condition and initially admitted to the Pak Oman Hospital. Due to the critical nature of his injuries—allegedly sustained through torture—he was later transferred to a medical facility in Karachi for emergency treatment.

PAANK and other advocacy groups have once again urged the international community to take serious note of the ongoing human rights crisis in Balochistan and press the Pakistani government to end the practice of enforced disappearances, which continues to devastate families and communities across the region.
