The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for three separate attacks targeting Pakistani military forces in Balochistan’s Kohlu district.
In a statement released on Thursday, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters carried out two armed attacks and a road blockade operation in the Bargh area, located between Kohlu and Sibi.
According to the statement, on 18 March, BLA fighters set up a temporary roadblock in Bargh and stopped vehicles to search them. A Levies Force personnel was briefly detained during the operation but later released.
Later the same day, Pakistani army personnel attempted to enter the area in a convoy of vehicles and motorcycles. The BLA said its fighters ambushed the advancing troops, killing one soldier, injuring another, and destroying a motorcycle.
The group claimed a third attack was carried out the following day, as Pakistani forces tried to advance into a nearby area. The BLA said its fighters attacked the advancing forces, inflicting casualties and causing property losses. The Pakistani troops reportedly retreated after the attack.
The BLA said it takes full responsibility for all three attacks and vowed to continue its operations against Pakistani forces in the region.
