According to reports, a retired Pakistan Army officer, Lieutenant Colonel Habib, was seriously injured when unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on him on Jail Road in Quetta.
The attack took place on Tuesday, prompting an immediate response from rescue teams, who rushed him to a nearby hospital. After receiving first aid, he was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta for further treatment.
Police and intelligence agencies arrived at the scene to collect evidence and have launched an investigation. The motive behind the attack and the identity of the attackers remain unknown.
