A young girl was killed, and several others were injured on Monday morning when Pakistani forces reportedly opened fire on passengers traveling through the Dak Nokkundi region of Balochistan’s Chagai district.
According to witnesses, the injured included both local residents and Afghan nationals. Among those seriously wounded was a man identified as Maulvi Ahmad, a resident of Chagai’s Sheslar area. The young girl succumbed to her injuries on the spot.
Local residents said that Pakistani forces have imposed strict restrictions on Afghan travelers in the Dak area for the past 20 days. These measures include detaining drivers in camps and confiscating their vehicles, creating heightened tensions in the region.
