The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has issued a warning to visitors from the Gulf nations, particularly Qatar and Oman, urging them to halt hunting trips in war-affected Balochistan. BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, in a statement to the media, said their fighters recently targeted Pakistani security forces escorting Qatari dignitaries in the Rodkan area of Kolwah on December 20.
The BLF accused Pakistan of using foreign guests as a tool to create mistrust between the Baloch people and their neighboring nations. The group emphasized that Balochistan is a conflict zone where direct combat with Pakistani forces has persisted for over two decades.
The spokesperson appealed to Gulf leaders to prioritize the safety of their citizens, urging them to avoid visiting or engaging in hunting activities in the region. “The current war-like situation makes Balochistan unsafe for visitors, and foreign nationals could inadvertently become part of this conflict,” the statement read.
While reiterating the Baloch people’s tradition of hospitality, the BLF stressed that the safety of foreign guests cannot be guaranteed in the current climate. It called on Gulf nations to respect Balochistan’s sovereignty and avoid involvement in the ongoing conflict.
The BLF highlighted its commitment to defending the rights and freedoms of the Baloch people, urging neighboring countries to understand the ground realities. The group assured that their recent attack was symbolic, targeting only security personnel, with no harm intended to foreign visitors.
Concluding the statement, the BLF appealed for cooperation with Gulf nations to ensure regional peace while maintaining cultural and historical ties between the Baloch and Arab communities. The group reiterated its call for foreign nationals to refrain from traveling to Balochistan during the conflict to prevent any unintended harm or strain in relations.
