Two young men, Akhtar Shah son of Hussain Shah, and Sahaj Mengal son of Muhammad Haneef allegedly forcibly disappeared from their homes by Pakistani forces from the Killi Pandrani area of Balochistan’s Katal district.
According to local sources, last night, a large number of Pakistani forces surrounded Killi Pandrani and raided homes. During this operation, the forces detained the two mentioned youths, blindfolded them, and threw them into vehicles.
No information has yet been received regarding the whereabouts of these two youths. District authorities have also not presented any statement regarding the incident so far.
Incidents of enforced disappearances are reported daily across Balochistan. According to statistics from TBP Visual Data Studio, 37 people were forcibly disappeared across Balochistan only in August this year, while 9 missing persons and 6 bodies were recovered.
