A renowned singer was stabbed to death by unidentified individuals in Zahedan, the central city of Western (Iranian-administrated) Balochistan.
Baloch singer Bilal Nasravi (Regi) from Zahedan was stabbed and seriously injured by unidentified individuals on Mathari Street, who later succumbed to his injuries.
The 29-year-old singer was a resident of Sherabad, in Zahedan. The motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
Baloch circles alleged that the man was killed by Iranian authorities for allegedly singing revolutionary songs. However, the Iranian authorities have not yet confirmed or denied the allegations.
It pertains to be mentioned that Bilal Nasrvi was reportedly detained by Iranian intelligence agencies after singing a song with the title “Inshallah Balochistan will be free soon”, in July 2022.
