In Balochistan’s Chaman area, Pakistani forces allegedly opened firing at Manzoor Pashteen’s vehicle, as a result, four people including a woman were injured.
According to reports, Pakistani paramilitary forces, Frontier Crops (FC) and Police personnel opened fire and attempted to arrest Manzoor Pashteen, the founder and head of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).
According to PTM workers, Pakistani forces fired directly at Manzoor Pashteen’s car to stop him, but he remained unhurt in the attack. However, four people including a woman have been injured, while the situation in the area is said to be tense.
Sammi Deen Baloch of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), while condemning the incident said “Manzoor Pashteen had announced to participate in the ongoing Turbat sit-in yesterday, such tactics are to stop him, it is beyond comprehension for the administration to be afraid of unarmed people.”
