Baloch “pro-independence” groups, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), have claimed responsibility for a series of recent attacks across different areas of Balochistan, targeting Pakistani forces and an individual accused of collaboration.
In a media statement, Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLA, took responsibility for two grenade attacks in Turbat and Gwadar. He stated that BLA fighters targeted Pakistani forces near Taleemi Chowk in Turbat with a hand grenade, injuring four. In Gwadar, the BLA fighters attacked an individual alleged to be an agent of Pakistani intelligence agencies in the Baloch Ward with a hand grenade.
Major Gwahram Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLF, in a separate statement, claimed responsibility for six attacks against Pakistani forces in Kech. He detailed that these attacks, carried out over Sunday and Monday, resulted in the deaths of at least two soldiers and injuries to several others.
According to Major Gwahram Baloch, BLF fighters targeted three Pakistani border forces posts in PachinKaur, Abdoi, Tagran and damaged army construction equipment, including a bulldozer. Additionally, in Mand, BLF fighters attacked a check post between MatSing and DaryaCham with rockets and automatic weapons, and on Monday, they assaulted the main security forces camp in Mand.
Both the BLA and BLF have declared that these attacks are part of their ongoing campaign against the Pakistani forces in Balochistan. They affirmed their commitment to continuing such assaults until their goal of a free homeland is realized.
