Enforced disappearances continue to persist in Balochistan, casting a prolonged shadow over the past two decades. Accusations against Pakistani intelligence agencies and security forces, as voiced by Baloch nationalists, activists, and human rights organizations, imply their involvement in these abductions and extrajudicial killings. Despite the consistent denial of any role by the Pakistani government, the increasing body of evidence put forth by Baloch masses paints a contrasting narrative.
A comprehensive inquiry carried out by The Balochistan Post (TBP) into the status of enforced disappearances in the latter part of October, 2023 has unveiled the following revelations:

Findings: In the concluding 2nd half of October, 23, TBP documented numerous instances of enforced disappearances reported from different areas of Balochistan. The compiled accounts have illuminated the gravity of the situation, disclosing that 13 individuals were forcibly disappeared, while 2 were surfaced. Additionally, 2 deceased bodies was discovered within the same time frame.
Enforced disappearances were reported in the following areas:
- Turbat: 5
- Mastung: 3
- Hub Chowki: 1
- Khuzdar: 2
- Quetta: 1
- Lahore: 1
Additionally, two dead bodies were also recovered.
