A woman named Zulaikha Hayat was shot and injured by armed assailants in Tump tehsil of Balochistan’s Kech district on Sunday around midnight.
According to sources, armed men barged into the house of a man named Hayat in the Kour-Jo area of Tump and opened fire due to which Hayat’s daughter Zulaikha Hayat was injured, she was taken to hospital in Tump and later shifted to Turbat for further treatment.
Local sources alleged that the gunmen belonged to a local “death squad” group.
As per reports, Pakistani forces had forcibly disappeared Zulaikha Hayat and Amir Hayat earlier in the year 2022 and alleged that they were preparing to carry out suicide attacks.
The family members of Zulaikha Hayat told the media that they have been facing such atrocities at the hands of Pakistani forces and its local agents in the past too.
The relatives of the victims called to the Baloch nation, and political and social organizations to raise their voices to protect them from the “oppression of the Pakistan army.”
