Law-enforcement forces have allegedly forcibly disappeared twelve people from various districts of Balochistan – meanwhile, large-scale military operations continue in the Dera Bugti and Awaran areas of Balochistan for at least a week.
During the military operations, several people have reportedly forcibly disappeared allegedly by the Pakistani security forces in Dera Bugti and Awaran. Due to the military siege and cellular network suspension in those areas, the extent of forced disappearances and fatalities is unknown yet.
Enforced disappearances in Dera Bugti
The Pakistani forces’ operation in Dera Bugti has been going on in full swing for the last several days. As per reports, during the operation, the forces detained several people, most of whom have not yet been identified.
In the last 24 hours, the Pakistan Army has raided various areas in Sui tehsil of Dera Bugti district and abducted several people — four of them have been identified so far. Whose identities are, Munshi son of Roshan Hotkani, Swagal s/o Panhal Bugti, Hussainu s/o Bakhtiar Bugti, and Dadan s/o Shehan Bugti. Munshi was allegedly detained from his house during the ongoing military operation near Sui Airport in the Dera Bugti district.
It should be mentioned that Munshi’s father Roshan and brother Ahmed Ali were already abducted by the Pakistani forces. Later, Roshan Bugti was released. However, Ahmed Ali is still missing.
The abductees from Dera Bugti also include a Levies Force personnel who was summoned to Sui Cantonment reportedly by the Pakistani forces and haven’t been heard since.
The other abductee from Dera Bugti, Dadan’s family told the media that their son is employed in Levies and that he is the only support of their house whose life is in danger and the higher authorities should play a role in his recovery.
It should be recalled that on June 23, 2013, Dadan’s father, Shayhan Bugti, was abducted and allegedly killed by the Pakistan Army along with six others in the Mat area.
Enforced disappearances in Awaran
According to a TBP correspondent, Pakistani forces are engaged in a large-scale military operation in Ziyarat Dan, Kach, Ghulamo Bazar, Garai, Loop, Ibrahim Bazar, and Zelag areas of Awaran district for the last week.
According to sources, during the operation, the Pakistan forces have so far detained several people, three of whom have been identified as Zahid son of Dilbod, Wahid son of Karim Bakhsh, and Imdad son of Ibrahim.
Reports of missing persons from Quetta
“Mohammad Rizwan, son of Mohammad Ramzan Nathwani, has been missing since getting off the vehicle from Saryab Road in Balochistan’s capital on July 4, 2023,” Mohammad Shoaib, a resident of Khuzdar said in a statement issued to the media.
Muhammad Shoaib said that Rizwan’s last location traced was Degree College near Sariab Road, and since then the mobile is off. He said that they have asked all the police stations in Quetta but no information has been received regarding Rizwan.
He has appealed that whoever has information about Mohammad Rizwan or anyone who has seen him, should inform.
Enforced disappearances in Kech
Pakistani security forces reportedly detained two people during a midnight house raid in the Tump area of Kech district.
Those who went missing after detention have been identified as Pir Bakhsh son of Baitullah and Farooq son of Murad.
According to sources, the forces cordoned off the area in large numbers, raided the houses, and subjected women and children to severe mental and physical violence.
Enforced disappearances in Khash (Western Balochistan)
Iranian forces reportedly arrested a 13-year-old boy from the Khash area of Western (Iranian-administrated) Balochistan on Saturday.
According to reports, Iranian forces have arrested a Baloch boy named Abu Zar Regi, a resident of Khash, from the Khash area of Western Balochistan, and shifted him to an undisclosed location.
According to the Hengo Organization for Human Rights, the report they received on Saturday, July 15, 2023, that a 13-year-old Baloch boy Abu Zar Regi was arrested by Iranian forces in the city of Khash.
Local sources confirmed the incident and said the forces arrested the boy from inside the Madrasa in Khash and later shifted him to an undisclosed location.
